The 2023 CVO Street Glide is the last of its Boom! Box GTS generation, and it goes out with the biggest engine yet: the FLHXSE steps up from the Milwaukee-Eight 117 to the 121, finished that year in Dark Platinum. The fork-mounted batwing fairing and the 6.5-inch Boom! Box GTS touchscreen carry over unchanged, and so does the factory's headset requirement for wireless CarPlay. HogPlay's Boom! Box GTS bypass, wired off the inner-fairing USB-A port, clears that gate; add a Media Box or Piglet for wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and streaming apps. No dealer, nothing spliced.

The factory Boom! Box GTS radio locks CarPlay behind a paired headset. A HogPlay headset bypass removes that so CarPlay and the USB port work without one — then a Media Box or Piglet adds wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and streaming apps.

2023 closes out the Boom! Box GTS chapter for the CVO Street Glide (FLHXSE) with its biggest update yet: the Milwaukee-Eight 121 replaces the 117 that carried the model since 2019, wrapped in a Dark Platinum finish for the year. The fork-mounted batwing fairing and the 6.5-inch Boom! Box GTS touchscreen, fed by USB-A in the inner fairing, stay the same as every CVO Street Glide before it.
That familiar GTS screen still locks Apple CarPlay and Android Auto behind a paired headset. HogPlay's Boom! Box GTS bypass clears the requirement, and a Media Box or Piglet then adds wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and streaming apps through the fairing speakers — plug-and-play, fully reversible, no dealer visit.
⚠️ 2023.5 transition — check your system before ordering. Early-2023 CVO Street Glide units run the Boom! Box GTS described above and take the GTS CarPlay Unlock bypass. The mid-year 2023.5 build (many are titled as a 2024) switched to the newer Skyline system with an under-seat connector — those use the under-seat bypass instead. Not sure which you have?
