About Aquatic AV
Aquatic AV was founded in 2005 by CEO Bob Fils, who saw that ordinary audio-visual equipment could not survive the environment of spas and hot tubs. Rather than adapt an existing car stereo to the job, Fils built purpose-made units from the ground up, using premium components and marine-grade stainless steel. Waterproofing was the starting point of the design, not a coating applied at the end.
That expertise turned out to travel. As the company puts it, they recognised their know-how could solve audio problems well beyond the hot tub, and the range widened into marine, powersports, ATVs, golf carts and motorcycles. Aquatic AV now lists over 100 products and more than 700 dealer and distributor locations. Their gear is built for harsh conditions: high IP and IPX water and dust ratings, UV-resistant materials, and conformal-coated circuit boards meant to shrug off heavy rain, salt fog and long hours in direct sun.
The Harley-Davidson line is where most riders meet the brand. Aquatic AV says its Harley systems have earned widespread acclaim. The motorcycle catalogue runs from the MP5 and MP5+ replacement stereos up to the HR400 touchscreen head unit, alongside RGB speakers, saddlebag kits and amplifiers. The through-line is the same one the company started with in 2005 — a unit engineered for weather from the outset, fitted to a bike that lives outdoors.
