2023 Harley-Davidson Skyline & GTS CarPlay Guide

2023 is a transition year: CVO Harley-Davidson models debuted the new 12.3-inch Skyline screen while the rest of the touring lineup kept the older GTS, and a 2023 Indian Ride Command still ran CarPlay over USB only, no Android Auto. Picking CVO over standard trim changes the dash, not the underlying phone-pairing headache.

About 2023 Motorcycles

2023 split Harley's touring lineup in two: CVO models got a first look at the new Skyline 12.3-inch display, while standard touring trims carried on with the Boom! Box GTS and its headset-gated CarPlay. Indian's 2023 Ride Command, standard across Chieftain, Roadmaster, and Springfield, changed nothing about its wired-CarPlay-only, no-Android-Auto setup from prior years. Nothing about that split changes which upgrade a given dash actually needs.

Whether it's a CVO Skyline or standard GTS, a 2023 Harley-Davidson gets clean wireless CarPlay through a bypass adaptor and Media Box; a 2023 Indian gets both CarPlay and Android Auto through a Ride Command bypass. Whichever dash it is, the bypass tucks in behind the radio without touching the factory wiring on either the Harley or the Indian side.
