The 2016 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Police ran the factory Boom! Box 4.3 — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! The 2016 Road Glide Police sticks with the fairing-mounted Boom! Box 4.3, a non-touch base radio built for durability over features. It's a solid AM/FM and intercom unit, but Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are absent - there's no way to run turn-by-turn maps or voice texting through the factory speakers.
HogPlay closes that gap two ways. Swap in an aftermarket CarPlay radio from Aquatic AV or SoundStream and most units ship with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto already onboard, no headset bypass needed. Or hold onto a more OEM look by fitting a 2019-2023 GTS head unit and a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor, which unlocks the GTS's factory CarPlay and USB port (the bypass itself doesn't add Android Auto, so pair it with a Media Box for that).
