Inside that fairing sits the factory Harman/Kardon Advanced Audio head unit, feeding speakers built into the lowers.
That factory deck plays AM/FM and CD without complaint, but it has no Bluetooth phone-mirroring layer at all, meaning Apple CarPlay and Android Auto simply aren't options on the stock radio - riders wanting turn-by-turn or hands-free calling have to look elsewhere.
Aftermarket CarPlay radios from Rockford Fosgate or Aquatic AV are built to the same fairing dimensions and most ship with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto already onboard. From there, a HogPlay Media Box adds Android Auto plus Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music, and podcasts streaming from an SD card or USB drive with no phone data used.
