About 2012 Harley-Davidson

Across the 2012 lineup, factory audio splits cleanly by body style. Road Glide, Street Glide, Electra Glide, Ultra, CVO, Tri Glide, and Road King touring models all carry a fairing-mounted AM/FM stereo — good for its era, but built years before CarPlay existed. The 26-model Softail, Dyna, and Sportster range skipped factory audio entirely, from the Fat Boy to the Seventy-Two.

HogPlay's upgrade path follows that same split. Touring riders swap in a CarPlay-ready aftermarket radio sized for the factory fairing opening on their specific model. Everyone else — including the entire Softail & Cruiser lineup and the Tri Glide — adds a bar-mounted Media Screen for wireless CarPlay and Android Auto instead.
