Spirit Blue Metallic joined the 2023 Chieftain Limited's lineup alongside Silver Quartz Metallic and Black Metallic, with the underlying bike unchanged from the year before — the chrome-trimmed fairing still carries the 7-inch Ride Command touchscreen over the air-cooled Thunder Stroke 116. That screen's factory Apple CarPlay works only over a USB cable, and Indian has never shipped Android Auto on it. HogPlay's USB-C bypass adaptor makes CarPlay wireless, and a Media Box or Piglet adds Android Auto and streaming apps, all through the factory harness — reversible and dealer-free.
USB-C Bypass Required
The factory 7" Ride Command runs Apple CarPlay by USB cable only — no wireless, and no Android Auto. A HogPlay USB-C bypass makes CarPlay wireless, then a Media Box or Piglet adds Android Auto and streaming apps.

For 2023 the Chieftain Limited's color sheet swapped Deepwater Metallic for Spirit Blue Metallic, joining holdovers Silver Quartz Metallic and Black Metallic, while the chrome-trimmed fairing, hard saddlebags and Thunder Stroke 116 stayed the same. The bike's 7-inch Ride Command touchscreen supports Apple CarPlay out of the box, but only tethered to a cable, with no factory Android Auto. HogPlay's USB-C wireless bypass adaptor frees up wireless CarPlay, and a Media Box or Piglet layers in Android Auto and streaming — see the Indian Ride Command radio page (/pages/indian-ride-command-radio) for the complete fitment. Everything plugs into the factory USB and harness, fully reversible.
