Sagebrush Smoke, Copper Smoke, and Spirit Blue Smoke rounded out the 2023 Indian Chieftain Dark Horse color range, on top of holdover Black Smoke, Quartz Gray, and Ruby Smoke. The 7-inch Ride Command screen in the fairing is unchanged: wired Apple CarPlay, no Android Auto. HogPlay's USB-C bypass turns that CarPlay wireless and brings Android Auto to the same display.
USB-C Bypass Required
The factory 7" Ride Command runs Apple CarPlay by USB cable only — no wireless, and no Android Auto. A HogPlay USB-C bypass makes CarPlay wireless, then a Media Box or Piglet adds Android Auto and streaming apps.

Every 2023 Chieftain Dark Horse — whether finished in Copper Smoke, Spirit Blue Smoke, Sagebrush Smoke, or one of the darker carryover shades — shares the Chieftain's hard-bagger bones: Thunder Stroke 116, frame-mounted fairing, hard saddlebags, and a 7-inch Ride Command screen with its factory USB port built into that fairing. HogPlay's kit connects there to unlock wireless Apple CarPlay, then a Media Box or Piglet layers in Android Auto and streaming. Full fitment details are on the Indian Ride Command radio page.
