Indian introduced the Roadmaster Elite in 2020 as the top rung of its touring lineup — a limited run finished in Thunder Black Vivid Crystal over Gunmetal Flake paint that set it apart from every other Roadmaster on the showroom floor. Underneath the custom finish sits the same fork-mounted batwing fairing and 7-inch Ride Command touchscreen as the rest of the family, running Apple CarPlay from the factory but only over a plugged-in cable. A HogPlay USB-C bypass adaptor cuts that cord, and a Media Box or Piglet layers in Android Auto plus your streaming apps. Everything plugs into the factory harness on the Thunder Stroke 116 — nothing cut, nothing permanent.

The factory 7" Ride Command runs Apple CarPlay by USB cable only — no wireless, and no Android Auto. A HogPlay USB-C bypass makes CarPlay wireless, then a Media Box or Piglet adds Android Auto and streaming apps.

The 2020 Roadmaster Elite is Indian's inaugural top-trim tourer — a full-dress, fork-mounted batwing fairing wrapped around the 116-cubic-inch Thunder Stroke V-twin, with hard bags, a trunk, and floorboards for two-up long-haul miles. It came in a single, exclusive launch color, Thunder Black Vivid Crystal over Gunmetal Flake, distinguishing it from the standard Roadmaster on the same showroom floor. Every Elite carries the 7-inch Ride Command touchscreen, and factory Apple CarPlay works over USB, but wired only — Indian has never offered factory Android Auto. HogPlay's USB-C wireless bypass adaptor unlocks wireless CarPlay, and a Media Box or Piglet adds Android Auto and streaming apps on top. All of it plugs into the factory USB and harness — reversible, no dealer visit, no splicing.
