Don't confuse this sidecar rig with the new-for-2009 Tri Glide Ultra Classic trike — the anniversary sidecar variant rides on the standard two-wheel Ultra Classic platform and shares its factory Boom! Box radio with every other 2009 Ultra Classic. That Boom! Box 4.3/6.5GT generation has no CarPlay or Android Auto capability.
The fix HogPlay recommends is a GTS Bypass retrofit, dropping a 2019–2023 Boom! Box GTS unit into the factory fairing opening with the GTS Bypass adaptor. An aftermarket CarPlay radio is the alternative for riders who'd rather run a dedicated aftermarket head unit. Either way, add a Media Box or USB Piglet to complete the CarPlay connection.
