Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto for the 2009 Harley-Davidson Ultra

The 2009 Ultra family now includes Harley's first trike, the Tri Glide Ultra Classic, alongside the two-wheel Ultra Classic and Ultra Limited. All of them ran the same legacy AM/FM touring radio, with no Bluetooth or CarPlay built in on either two wheels or three. Pick your exact trim below to see the matching wireless upgrade kit.

About 2009 Harley-Davidson Ultra Models

Adding a third wheel didn't change the Tri Glide Ultra Classic's electronics — it uses the same pre-Bluetooth AM/FM head unit found on the two-wheel Ultra Classic, Ultra Limited, and Shrine trim that year. There's no aux input and no factory CarPlay path on any 2009 Ultra model, trike or otherwise, and the Japan-market sidecar variant shares this same limitation.

An aftermarket CarPlay head unit for the fairing, or a bar-mounted Media Screen for a no-cut install, brings wireless CarPlay and Android Auto to any trim in the family, trike included. That covers the Ultra Sidecar, the Ultra Classic With Sidecar (Japan), and the Ultra Classic Shrine too. See aftermarket radios for parts matched to your exact fairing style and trim level.
