Blacked-out from its slammed front fender to its gloss-black fairing, the 2024 Indian Chieftain Dark Horse still carries the same 7-inch Ride Command screen as every Chieftain — and the same wired-only factory CarPlay. USB-C Bypass Required
The factory 7" Ride Command runs Apple CarPlay by USB cable only — no wireless, and no Android Auto. A HogPlay USB-C bypass makes CarPlay wireless, then a Media Box or Piglet adds Android Auto and streaming apps.

The Chieftain Dark Horse is the blacked-out take on Indian's bagger — matte and gloss black in place of chrome, but mechanically the same frame-mounted fairing bike with the 7-inch Ride Command screen and the Thunder Stroke 116. It's also offered with Indian's PowerBand Audio Package, a two-channel amp-and-speaker upgrade — and it's worth knowing that PowerBand changes the sound, not the head unit, so every Dark Horse still runs the same Ride Command display and the same wired-only factory CarPlay. HogPlay makes that CarPlay wireless, and adds Android Auto (which Indian never shipped from the factory), through the USB-C bypass, Media Box, and Piglet.
