2024 Harley-Davidson Skyline & Indian CarPlay

The new 12.3-inch Skyline screen rolled out across the full 2024 Harley-Davidson touring lineup this year, and a 2024 Indian Ride Command carried on with wired-only CarPlay and no Android Auto — bigger screen, same old bottlenecks underneath. A sharper screen doesn't automatically mean an easier phone connection.

About 2024 Motorcycles

2024 marked the first full model year with Skyline standard across Harley's touring range, replacing the GTS with a sharper 12.3-inch display and a faster interface — but CarPlay access still runs through the same paired-headset requirement as before. Indian's 2024 Ride Command, across Chieftain, Roadmaster, Pursuit, and Springfield, kept its long-standing limitation: CarPlay over USB, and no Android Auto at all.

A 2024 Harley-Davidson Skyline gets headset-free wireless CarPlay through a bypass adaptor and Media Box, while a 2024 Indian Ride Command finally gains Android Auto through a USB-C bypass. Both bypass kits mount cleanly behind the dash without cutting into the factory harness, keeping the swap fully reversible on either bike down the road if it's ever sold.
