The 2024 Indian Chieftain gives you the 7-inch Ride Command touchscreen right out of the box, but its Apple CarPlay only runs through a cable. HogPlay cuts the cord: a USB-C bypass adaptor unlocks the factory screen, then a Media Box or Piglet turns it into wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with your streaming apps and maps riding along. See the Indian Ride Command radio page for how the platform fits together.
USB-C Bypass Required
The factory 7" Ride Command runs Apple CarPlay by USB cable only — no wireless, and no Android Auto. A HogPlay USB-C bypass makes CarPlay wireless, then a Media Box or Piglet adds Android Auto and streaming apps.

The Chieftain is Indian's original hard-bagger — a frame-mounted fairing that houses the 7-inch Ride Command display, hard saddlebags, and the air-cooled Thunder Stroke 116 V-twin. Every 2024 Chieftain ships with that Ride Command touchscreen, and factory Apple CarPlay works, but only over a cable; Indian has never offered factory Android Auto at all. HogPlay's make-matched kit plugs into the factory USB port to add wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto — a bypass adaptor unlocks the screen, then a Media Box or Piglet handles CarPlay and streaming. Full fitment lives on the Indian Ride Command radio page.
