For 2021 Indian dropped the Springfield's engine down a size — from the Thunder Stroke 116 to the Thunder Stroke 111 — while the console-mounted 7-inch Ride Command carried over unchanged, wired Apple CarPlay and all. That screen still has no Android Auto from the factory, and its CarPlay still needs a cable. HogPlay's USB-C bypass adaptor frees it to run wirelessly, and a Media Box or Piglet fills in Android Auto and the streaming apps Indian left out. Everything ties into the factory harness and comes back out just as easily.
USB-C Bypass Required
The factory 7" Ride Command runs Apple CarPlay by USB cable only — no wireless, and no Android Auto. A HogPlay USB-C bypass makes CarPlay wireless, then a Media Box or Piglet adds Android Auto and streaming apps.

2021 is a one-off year for the Springfield's heart: Indian swapped in the smaller Thunder Stroke 111 in place of the 116 that came before and after it, while keeping the same console-mounted 7-inch Ride Command and quick-release windshield. Factory colors that year were Maroon Metallic over Crimson Metallic and a Thunder Black over Dirt Track Tan two-tone. Ride Command still handles Apple CarPlay from the factory — over USB only, with no Android Auto built in. A HogPlay USB-C wireless bypass adaptor makes that CarPlay wireless, and a Media Box or Piglet adds Android Auto plus streaming, all through the factory harness.
