2021 Harley-Davidson & Indian CarPlay Fixes

Neither a 2021 Harley-Davidson nor a 2021 Indian gives you wireless CarPlay the way it should work. The Boom! Box GTS wants a paired headset; Ride Command wants a USB cable and still won't run Android Auto at all. Picking a make doesn't dodge the problem so much as choose which version of it you deal with.

2021 touring buyers cross-shopping Harley and Indian ran into two separate but equally frustrating limitations. Harley's Boom! Box GTS supported CarPlay only through a Bluetooth headset pairing, leaving riders without one stuck on the base radio functions. Indian's Ride Command, standard on Chieftain, Roadmaster, and Springfield models, offered CarPlay strictly over a wired USB connection, with no Android Auto option for riders on Android phones.

Both gaps close the same general way: a 2021 Harley-Davidson pairs a bypass adaptor with a Media Box to skip the headset, and a 2021 Indian adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto together via a Ride Command bypass. Neither install touches the factory wiring harness, so the swap stays fully reversible on either bike if it's ever time to sell.
