For 2021 the Chieftain lineup narrowed to three finishes — Thunder Black, the newly added Radar Blue, and Thunder Black Pearl — all built around the same frame-mounted fairing and 7-inch Ride Command touchscreen as before. Factory Apple CarPlay is there from the start, but it only runs over a plugged-in cable, and Indian still doesn't offer Android Auto on this platform. HogPlay's USB-C bypass adaptor unlocks wireless CarPlay on that same screen, and a Media Box or Piglet brings Android Auto and streaming apps along with it — plugged into the factory USB connection, no cutting or splicing, and it comes back out just as easily.
USB-C Bypass Required
The factory 7" Ride Command runs Apple CarPlay by USB cable only — no wireless, and no Android Auto. A HogPlay USB-C bypass makes CarPlay wireless, then a Media Box or Piglet adds Android Auto and streaming apps.

The 2021 Indian Chieftain trims its color sheet down to three options — Thunder Black, Radar Blue, and Thunder Black Pearl — a tighter spread than the 2020 bike, but the hardware underneath carries over: a frame-mounted fairing housing the 7-inch Ride Command touchscreen, hard saddlebags, and the air-cooled Thunder Stroke 111. Ride Command already supports Apple CarPlay, wired only, with no factory Android Auto. HogPlay's USB-C wireless bypass adaptor frees that CarPlay from the cable, and a Media Box or Piglet adds Android Auto plus your streaming apps — all routed through the factory USB port, reversible, no dealer visit required.
