Right before Harley's touring line jumped to the bigger Milwaukee-Eight 114, the 2020 Tri Glide Ultra closed out the trike's run on the 107. Nothing about the fairing or the electronics changed for the switch — it's still the batwing-mounted Boom! Box GTS with its 6.5-inch touchscreen, feeding audio through the USB-A jack in the inner fairing. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are built into that screen, but the factory won't run either wirelessly until a paired headset is detected. Add a HogPlay bypass and that requirement disappears; layer on a Media Box or Piglet and CarPlay, Android Auto and streaming apps play through the trike's own speakers, install to finish in an afternoon.

The factory Boom! Box GTS radio locks CarPlay behind a paired headset. A HogPlay headset bypass removes that so CarPlay and the USB port work without one — then a Media Box or Piglet adds wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and streaming apps.

2020 was a quiet year for the Tri Glide Ultra on paper — same three-wheel Tour-Pak platform, same fork-mounted batwing fairing, same Milwaukee-Eight 107 it had worn since the M8 changeover — but it was also the last model year before Harley bumped the touring lineup's displacement for 2021. The Boom! Box GTS radio and its 6.5-inch touchscreen carried over unchanged, with the USB-A port still in the inner fairing.
The catch with that GTS screen is the same one every Boom-equipped tourer has: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are present but dormant until a Bluetooth headset pairs. A HogPlay bypass removes that gate, and a Media Box or Piglet turns the fairing speakers into a full wireless CarPlay and Android Auto rig — plug-and-play, nothing spliced, and reversible if you ever sell the bike.
