The 2017 Street Glide's biggest change was under the tank, not in the fairing — the new Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine arrived while the Boom! Box 4.3 carried over unchanged, meaning still no Apple CarPlay and no Android Auto from the factory. No Factory CarPlay — GTS Swap or Aftermarket
The 2017 Harley-Davidson Street Glide ran the factory Boom! Box 4.3 — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! Box GTS and add a HogPlay GTS Bypass for wireless CarPlay, or fit an aftermarket CarPlay radio (SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio, Aquatic AV). Either way a HogPlay Media Box adds Netflix, YouTube and streaming and a Piglet adds Mirror Link and AirPlay. No headset bypass required.

Adding both is usually a choice between two paths. An aftermarket CarPlay radio — from makers like SoundStream or Diamond Audio — typically brings Apple CarPlay and Android Auto onboard together, with no headset bypass needed here. Alternatively, swap in a 2019-2023 GTS head unit and add a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor to unlock the GTS's factory CarPlay and USB port, keeping in mind Android Auto on that route still needs its own add-on.
From there, a HogPlay Media Box adds Android Auto and streaming — Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music, podcasts — playing from an SD card or USB drive with no phone data used. A USB Piglet covers Android Auto plus Mirror Link or AirPlay mirroring in a smaller package, and a bar-mounted Media Screen suits riders who'd rather add a screen than replace the radio outright.
