The 2016 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited Shrine ran the factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! An aftermarket CarPlay radio from Rockford Fosgate, SoundStream, Boss, Diamond Audio or Aquatic AV is the fastest path, and most of those units bring Android Auto along with Apple CarPlay in the same box - no headset bypass required, since that workaround only applies to the factory radio. Riders set on keeping a Harley head unit can instead swap to a 2019-2023 GTS radio and unlock its factory CarPlay and USB port with a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor.
From there, a HogPlay Media Box adds Android Auto plus Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music and podcast streaming from an SD card or USB drive, keeping phone data out of it entirely. A USB Piglet covers Android Auto plus AirPlay and Mirror Link for a lighter build, and a Media Screen remains an option for a dedicated bar-mounted display.
