By 2015 the Electra Glide had settled into its Project Rushmore refinements, and the Boom! Box 4.3 was still the standard head unit - dependable for radio and Bluetooth calls, but never built with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto in mind. That leaves riders juggling a phone mount and earbuds for navigation. HogPlay changes that equation, giving this year's Electra Glide a genuine wireless CarPlay and Android Auto upgrade path without waiting for Harley to catch up.
No Factory CarPlay — GTS Swap or Aftermarket
The 2015 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide ran the factory Boom! Box 4.3 — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! Box GTS and add a HogPlay GTS Bypass for wireless CarPlay, or fit an aftermarket CarPlay radio (SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio, Aquatic AV). Either way a HogPlay Media Box adds Netflix, YouTube and streaming and a Piglet adds Mirror Link and AirPlay. No headset bypass required.
We also stock universal parts that fit the 2015 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

The non-touch Boom! Box 4.3 fitted to the 2015 Electra Glide covers the basics - AM/FM, weatherband, Bluetooth audio and calling - but stops well short of anything resembling a modern smartphone interface. There's no CarPlay, no Android Auto, and no software update that will ever add either one.
The most direct fix is an aftermarket CarPlay radio - Boss, Diamond Audio, and Aquatic AV all make head units sized for touring fairings, and most ship with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ready to go the moment they're wired in. Riders who'd rather stay closer to factory styling often swap in a 2019-2023 GTS unit and add a CarPlay bypass adaptor from HogPlay to unlock the GTS's built-in CarPlay and USB port.
From there, a Media Box brings Android Auto plus Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music, and podcasts to the new radio, playing straight off an SD card or USB stick with no phone data burned. A USB Piglet is the lighter-touch option, adding Android Auto with AirPlay or Mirror Link mirroring, and a bar-mounted Media Screen is worth considering if you're not replacing the head unit at all. The aftermarket-radio route needs no headset bypass.
HogPlay Media Boxes work on Diamond Audio, Boss Audio, Rockford Fosgate, SoundStream and Aquatic AV aftermarket radios to unlock apps, streaming and more — it's not just for factory screens. Running an aftermarket head unit? See the matching aftermarket radio pages.
