The 2013 Electra Glide is the final model year of this touring generation, still built around the factory Harman/Kardon Advanced Audio system with no phone integration whatsoever. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were still years away from any Harley factory radio at this point. HogPlay's answer is an aftermarket CarPlay radio built for the fairing, bringing both platforms aboard wirelessly.
No Factory CarPlay — Add It Your Way
The 2013 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide shipped with the factory Harman/Kardon Advanced Audio — a solid unit in its day, but no Apple CarPlay, Android Auto or touchscreen. Fit an aftermarket CarPlay radio (SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio or Aquatic AV) for on-board CarPlay and Android Auto, then a HogPlay Media Box unleashes Netflix, YouTube and streaming apps and a Piglet adds Mirror Link and AirPlay. The 2013 Electra Glide closes out this touring generation, still riding on the Harman/Kardon Advanced Audio system that had carried the platform since 2006 - solid AM/FM and CD sound, with no screen or phone pairing.
Riders who want Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the bars need an aftermarket CarPlay radio built for the fairing, in place of that factory Harman/Kardon unit. Boss and Rockford Fosgate both offer units here with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto together.
