About 2013 Motorcycles
As the final year of Harley's long-running legacy radio, 2013 touring models still carried the same basic AM/FM tuner — with Harman/Kardon speakers on higher trims — that had defined the platform since the mid-'90s. Nothing about it anticipated a phone. Non-touring models, Softail through Sportster, closed out this era with no factory stereo either, exactly as they'd been for nearly two decades.
A 2013 Harley-Davidson is the last chance to keep that classic touring dash while adding wireless CarPlay through an aftermarket head unit, or to give a bare Softail, Dyna, or Sportster its first screen via a handlebar Media Screen. As the last legacy-radio model year, it's also the last one where this particular head-unit swap is a straightforward like-for-like fit.
