Harley kept its Softail, Dyna, and Sportster models audio-free again in 2012, spanning 26 builds from cruisers like the Heritage Classic and new-for-2012 Slim to bar-hopper customs like the Forty-Eight and Seventy-Two. Even the touring-style Switchback and the muscle-cruiser V-Rod Muscle came without a factory head unit. No radio means no possibility of a hidden CarPlay setting — the hardware to support it was never installed on any of these bikes.

The fix is a HogPlay Media Screen mounted at the bars, delivering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without any factory stereo to work around or wiring to splice into. It bolts on the same way for a Street Bob as it does for a Superlow or a Wide Glide, with the same mounting hardware included in the box and no dealer visit needed.
