The 2012 Harley-Davidson Deluxe carries the brand's retro-cruiser styling furthest of any Softail in the lineup, pairing whitewall tires, a full-skirted rear fender, and chrome nostalgia trim with the rigid-mount Twin Cam 96 pumping power through a 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission. It's a bike built to look like 1950s Milwaukee while riding like modern Harley-Davidson. What it doesn't have is any factory radio or navigation. The fix is the HogPlay Media Screen, a 7-inch bar-mounted display that brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to this 2012 Deluxe without touching its classic lines.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen

The 2012 Harley-Davidson Deluxe left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

We also stock universal parts that fit the 2012 Harley-Davidson Deluxe and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 2012 Harley-Davidson Deluxe

Deep fenders, a wide whitewall-and-spoke wheel combo, and a low, wide seat give the 2012 Deluxe its boulevard-cruiser stance, while the Twin Cam 96 underneath delivers the torque this bike's laid-back riding position calls for. It's a comfortable, styled-to-impress machine that was never meant to carry a screen — Harley didn't build one in, and the Deluxe's dash is pure classic gauge-and-chrome.

The HogPlay Media Screen mounts to the handlebars in clear view of the rider, so it doesn't disturb the Deluxe's vintage dash or fender lines. Installation runs a power and ground wire into the existing electrical system — no dash cutting, no fairing work. The mount is reversible, so the bike's factory look returns in minutes if you ever want it back to stock.

Every 2012 Deluxe fitted with the HogPlay Media Screen gets dual Bluetooth on tap — one channel pairs your phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, while the second feeds an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker so the music actually carries at highway speed. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio right at the bars even without an external setup. And because this Deluxe spends its life outdoors, the unit is fully sealed and waterproof, built to shrug off rain, road grime, and vibration ride after ride.

Android Auto on the 2012 Harley-Davidson Deluxe: HogPlay makes the 2012 Harley-Davidson Deluxe run wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay — compare every Android Auto for Harley-Davidson & Indian motorcycles option, then confirm your exact fit with What Fits.
