The 2005 CVO Electra Glide is the final model year built around Harley's 99-05 base radio, wrapped in the custom paint and trim that set every CVO Electra Glide apart from the standard touring lineup.
Since that base radio has no way to talk to a phone, riders wanting Apple CarPlay or Android Auto move to an aftermarket fairing-mount radio instead. SoundStream, Boss, and Aquatic AV all build units for this fairing that include wireless CarPlay and Android Auto out of the box, giving the 2005 CVO a real touchscreen for the first time.
