About 2001 Harley-Davidson

2001 didn't change the underlying story from the year before: touring bikes carried a legacy AM/FM head unit (Harman/Kardon speakers on the pricier trims), and every Softail, Dyna, and Sportster-family bike rolled out with no radio at all. New model names joined the cruiser side this year, but the electronics underneath followed the same no-dash pattern as the rest of the family regardless of badge.

Touring riders get there with an aftermarket CarPlay radio built for the factory fairing opening; cruiser and Softail riders use the Media Screen since there's no factory unit to integrate with in the first place. Jump into the Road Glide or Street Glide hub for the fairing-specific details, or check the Ultra hub if a higher trim level is what you're actually cross-shopping this year.
