The 2018 Ultra Classic rode out its run on the Milwaukee-Eight 107 with the Boom! Box 6.5 GT still as the top factory radio, the last model year before Harley's next touring redesign. It's a solid, familiar touchscreen, but Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were never part of its factory feature set. HogPlay retrofits wireless CarPlay and Android Auto onto this bike through an aftermarket radio or a swap toward the newer GTS platform.
No Factory CarPlay — GTS Swap or Aftermarket
The 2018 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic ran the factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! Box GTS and add a HogPlay GTS Bypass for wireless CarPlay, or fit an aftermarket CarPlay radio (SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio, Aquatic AV). Either way a HogPlay Media Box adds Netflix, YouTube and streaming and a Piglet adds Mirror Link and AirPlay. No headset bypass required.

The 2018 Ultra Classic closed out this model's run on the Milwaukee-Eight 107, still paired with the familiar Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen as the top factory radio before Harley's next touring redesign arrived. It's a mature, well-sorted system for what it does, but Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were never part of it - no update ever added them, on this bike or any 2018 Harley. Riders chasing phone-mirrored navigation and music have to look past the factory dash.
The quickest route is an aftermarket touchscreen from SoundStream or Diamond Audio, most of which come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto already built in - and since it's a standalone aftermarket radio, there's no headset bypass to add for phone mirroring to work. Riders who'd rather step toward the newer factory setup can swap in a 2019-2023 GTS radio and add a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor, unlocking the GTS's factory CarPlay and USB port (the bypass itself doesn't bring Android Auto along).
Add a HogPlay Media Box to either path for Android Auto plus Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music, and podcasts, played from an SD card or USB drive with no phone data used. A USB Piglet is the alternative for Android Auto plus Mirror Link and AirPlay screen mirroring straight from your phone. A bar-mounted Media Screen is available as well, though most 2018 Ultra Classic owners with a working head unit just upgrade the radio instead.
