Box 4.3 that handled Bluetooth calling and basic infotainment about as well as any factory Harley radio had up to that point. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, though, weren't part of the picture — the 4.3 was built before either existed as a factory option. No Factory CarPlay — GTS Swap or Aftermarket
The 2015 Harley-Davidson Street Glide ran the factory Boom! Box 4.3 — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! Box GTS and add a HogPlay GTS Bypass for wireless CarPlay, or fit an aftermarket CarPlay radio (SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio, Aquatic AV). Riders wanting a phone-mirrored map, music app, and hands-free texting on this bike usually go one of two ways. The straightforward route is an aftermarket CarPlay radio — options from Boss or Diamond Audio typically include both CarPlay and Android Auto in the same unit, and there's no headset bypass to fuss with on this path. The other route is swapping in a 2019-2023 GTS head unit and adding a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor, which unlocks the GTS's factory CarPlay and USB port (Android Auto still needs its own add-on there).
Either way, a HogPlay Media Box adds Android Auto along with Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music, and podcast streaming from an SD card or USB drive, no phone data burned. A USB Piglet is the smaller option for Android Auto plus Mirror Link or AirPlay mirroring, and a bar-mounted Media Screen is there if you'd rather add a display than replace the fairing radio.
