The 2014 Street Glide's Rushmore redesign brought a sharper shark-nose fairing, better wind protection, and the Boom! Box 4.3 head unit with steering-wheel-style controls and Bluetooth calling — a real step up for its day. What it never had, and never will get from the factory, is Apple CarPlay or Android Auto; that tech simply didn't exist on a Harley radio yet. HogPlay bridges that gap with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto added through an aftermarket head unit or a swap to a later radio.
No Factory CarPlay — GTS Swap or Aftermarket
The 2014 Harley-Davidson Street Glide ran the factory Boom! Box 4.3 — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! Box GTS and add a HogPlay GTS Bypass for wireless CarPlay, or fit an aftermarket CarPlay radio (SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio, Aquatic AV). Prefer to keep something closer to a factory look? Swapping in a 2019-2023 GTS head unit and adding a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor unlocks the GTS's own factory CarPlay and USB port (Android Auto still needs an add-on there).
Whichever radio ends up in the fairing, a HogPlay Media Box layers on Android Auto plus Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music, and podcasts from an SD card or USB drive — no phone data required. A USB Piglet is the compact route to Android Auto with Mirror Link or AirPlay screen mirroring, and a bar-mounted Media Screen is worth a look if you'd rather add a display than replace the one already in the fairing.
