2026 Indian Chief CarPlay & Android Auto Upgrades

The 2026 Chief lineup splits into two very different cockpits: stripped-down cruisers that never had a screen to begin with, and touring-ready machines built around Indian's Ride Command touchscreen. Riders on the analog-gauge Chief Bobber Dark Horse want CarPlay from zero, while owners of the Super Chief Limited already have a screen but need it unlocked for phone mirroring.

About 2026 Indian Chief Models

Base Chief and Chief Dark Horse models ship with nothing more than a speedometer and a clock, so there's no factory path to CarPlay or Android Auto at all — the fix is a purpose-built handlebar display rather than a workaround for an existing unit. The Sport Chief and Super Chief Limited take the opposite problem: their Ride Command system runs wired Apple CarPlay only, with Android Auto left out entirely, so Android riders are locked out no matter how new the bike is.

For the analog cruisers, a handlebar-mounted display adds full CarPlay and Android Auto where none existed before. For Ride Command bikes, our Ride Command bypass opens up wireless CarPlay and adds Android Auto support the factory unit never offered, all without cutting into the dash.
