New colorways for 2026 — Ghost White Metallic Smoke and Moss Green join Black Smoke — don't change what's under the gauge on the Chief Bobber Dark Horse: still one round dial, still no touchscreen, still no factory Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. HogPlay's 7-inch CarPlay and Android Auto screen fills that space with its own built-in speakers, mounted at the mini-ape bars and powered by a universal USB feed, so the bobber keeps its stripped stance while the rider gets real navigation and streaming.
No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen
The 2026 Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

The 2026 Chief Bobber Dark Horse holds its ground as the stripped-down, blacked-out member of the Chief family — mini-ape handlebars, a solo seat, 16-inch wheels and the Thunder Stroke 116, now offered in Black Smoke, Ghost White Metallic Smoke and Moss Green. As with every year of the Bobber Dark Horse, there's no factory gauge screen and no built-in CarPlay to unlock, so HogPlay's fix is an add-on rather than a bypass: a 7-inch CarPlay and Android Auto screen with its own speakers, running off universal USB power, leaves the factory harness untouched and comes off just as easily as it goes on.
