About 2024 Harley-Davidson
Boom! Box GTS is genuinely capable hardware, but its CarPlay pairing method trips up a lot of new owners: instead of a cable or a simple Bluetooth-to-phone link, the system requires a paired Bluetooth headset in the rider's helmet to complete the CarPlay handshake, and Android Auto isn't part of the package on most 2024 trims at all. That applies across Road Glide, Electra Glide, Ultra, and Road King alike, and it's the reason HogPlay built a dedicated Boom! Box GTS bypass and Media Box combo for these bikes.
Two families break from that pattern. Select 2024 CVO models debut Harley's newer Skyline infotainment system, which has its own pairing quirks and its own HogPlay fix. And the Softail & Cruiser lineup carries no factory screen at all, so those bikes start from a clean slate with a HogPlay Media Screen instead of a bypass.
