By 2018, the Tri Glide Ultra had settled into its role as Harley's go-to three-wheeler for riders covering serious miles without giving up stability. The factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen handled audio and navigation well enough, but Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were never part of the package. HogPlay closes that gap with a wireless CarPlay and Android Auto upgrade built around the Tri Glide's dash.
No Factory CarPlay — GTS Swap or Aftermarket
The 2018 Harley-Davidson Tri Glide Ultra ran the factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! Box GTS and add a HogPlay GTS Bypass for wireless CarPlay, or fit an aftermarket CarPlay radio (SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio, Aquatic AV). Either way a HogPlay Media Box adds Netflix, YouTube and streaming and a Piglet adds Mirror Link and AirPlay. No headset bypass required.
We also stock universal parts that fit the 2018 Harley-Davidson Tri Glide Ultra and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

The 2018 Tri Glide Ultra carried Harley's three-wheel touring formula into its second full year, popular with riders who want the confidence of no-tip stability on long-distance runs two-up. The bike's factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen was a genuine step up in its day for audio and navigation, but Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were never built into that system, leaving phone-based apps and hands-free calling outside the factory radio's reach.
An aftermarket touchscreen head unit from Rockford Fosgate, SoundStream, Aquatic AV, Boss or Diamond Audio is usually the fastest way to wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, since most of these radios ship with both built in and no headset bypass is required on this route. For a more factory-styled alternative, swap the Boom! Box for a 2019-2023 GTS radio and pair it with a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor - it unlocks the GTS's own CarPlay and USB port, though Android Auto still needs to be added separately.
To round out the new radio, a HogPlay Media Box brings Android Auto along with Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music and podcast streaming from an SD card or USB drive, so there's no phone data involved. A HogPlay USB Piglet covers Android Auto plus AirPlay and Mirror Link mirroring in a smaller package, and a HogPlay Media Screen can add a second bar-mounted display - though once a head unit's already in place, most riders find it simpler to just upgrade that radio.
HogPlay Media Boxes work on Diamond Audio, Boss Audio, Rockford Fosgate, SoundStream and Aquatic AV aftermarket radios to unlock apps, streaming and more — it's not just for factory screens. Running an aftermarket head unit? See the matching aftermarket radio pages.
