The 2018 CVO Ultra Limited was the last of this run to ship with the Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen before Harley's next-generation infotainment took over. The 6.5 GT still handled the basics well, but Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were never part of its factory feature set. No Factory CarPlay — GTS Swap or Aftermarket
The 2018 Harley-Davidson CVO Ultra Limited ran the factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! Two paths close it. Install an aftermarket CarPlay receiver — SoundStream and Diamond Audio both make Harley-fitment options — and wireless CarPlay plus Android Auto usually come standard on the unit. Alternatively, swap the Boom! Box for a 2019-2023 GTS head unit and add a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor, which unlocks the GTS's factory CarPlay and USB port without touching Android Auto.
Layer in a HogPlay Media Box for Android Auto plus Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music, and podcast streaming from an SD card or USB drive, no phone data needed. A HogPlay USB Piglet is the compact alternative, adding Android Auto with Mirror Link or AirPlay mirroring, and a bar-mounted Media Screen suits riders who'd rather not swap the head unit. The aftermarket-radio path never requires a headset bypass — that's a factory-only fix.
