The 2018 CVO Street Glide closed out this generation of the platform, still running the touchscreen Boom! Box 6.5 GT with no factory Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. HogPlay adds both wirelessly, either by dropping in an aftermarket CarPlay radio or swapping to a 2019-2023 GTS head unit and unlocking it with a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor.
No Factory CarPlay — GTS Swap or Aftermarket
The 2018 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide ran the factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! Box GTS and add a HogPlay GTS Bypass for wireless CarPlay, or fit an aftermarket CarPlay radio (SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio, Aquatic AV). The 2018 CVO Street Glide closed out this run of the platform with the same Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen that had anchored the lineup for years — a solid radio for its generation, but one that never gained factory Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
An aftermarket CarPlay radio is the most direct fix. Head units from Boss or Aquatic AV are built for the CVO's fairing opening and commonly include both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and because the whole radio is new, there's no headset bypass to add. Riders who'd rather run a later factory unit can swap in a 2019-2023 GTS radio and add a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor to unlock its built-in CarPlay and USB port.
From there, a HogPlay Media Box brings Android Auto plus Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music, and podcast streaming off an SD card or USB drive, with no phone data used. A USB Piglet adds Android Auto along with Mirror Link and AirPlay mirroring in a smaller package, and a bar-mounted HogPlay Media Screen is available too, though most riders replacing an existing radio opt to upgrade the head unit itself.
