The 2018 CVO Road Glide paired another round of exclusive CVO paint and trim with the Milwaukee-Eight engine and its familiar Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were never part of that factory radio. HogPlay adds both wirelessly through an aftermarket CarPlay radio or a GTS swap with a CarPlay bypass adaptor.
No Factory CarPlay — GTS Swap or Aftermarket
The 2018 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide ran the factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! Box GTS and add a HogPlay GTS Bypass for wireless CarPlay, or fit an aftermarket CarPlay radio (SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio, Aquatic AV). Either way a HogPlay Media Box adds Netflix, YouTube and streaming and a Piglet adds Mirror Link and AirPlay. No headset bypass required.

By 2018 the CVO Road Glide was running the Milwaukee-Eight engine with another year of CVO-exclusive paint, badging, and trim on top of the familiar shark-nose fairing. Its Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen remained the same capable-for-its-era unit as prior years — solid audio and Bluetooth calling, but still no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto from the factory.
An aftermarket CarPlay radio from SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, or Diamond Audio is the direct fix, and most of those units ship with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto built in. Riders who want to stay closer to a Harley head unit instead swap to a 2019-2023 GTS radio and add a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor, unlocking the GTS's own CarPlay and USB port (Android Auto still needs a separate add-on there).
From either starting point, a HogPlay Media Box adds Android Auto plus Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music, and podcast streaming from an SD card or USB drive with no phone data used. A USB Piglet is the pick for Android Auto plus screen mirroring, and a bar-mounted Media Screen suits riders keeping their current radio. No headset bypass is needed anywhere on this aftermarket path.
