The 2017 CVO Street Glide is a fully loaded long-haul tourer, and its Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen was one of the better factory radios of its generation — just not one with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. HogPlay brings real wireless CarPlay and Android Auto to the bars, either through an aftermarket CarPlay radio or by swapping in a 2019-2023 GTS unit with a HogPlay bypass adaptor.
No Factory CarPlay — GTS Swap or Aftermarket
The 2017 Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide ran the factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! Box GTS and add a HogPlay GTS Bypass for wireless CarPlay, or fit an aftermarket CarPlay radio (SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio, Aquatic AV). Either way a HogPlay Media Box adds Netflix, YouTube and streaming and a Piglet adds Mirror Link and AirPlay. No headset bypass required.

The 2017 CVO Street Glide is built for real miles, and Harley backed it with a Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen that handled navigation prompts, Bluetooth calls, and satellite radio about as well as any factory system of the day. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, though, weren't part of that generation's factory electronics.
Closing that gap means either an aftermarket CarPlay radio or a newer factory radio unlocked with a HogPlay adaptor. Rockford Fosgate and Diamond Audio both make marine-grade head units sized for the CVO's fairing that typically include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto together, with no headset bypass needed since the whole radio is replaced. The alternative is swapping in a 2019-2023 GTS radio and adding a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor, which unlocks the GTS's factory CarPlay and USB port.
Once the new radio is in, a HogPlay Media Box adds Android Auto plus Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music, and podcasts, streaming from an SD card or USB drive instead of phone data. A USB Piglet is the compact alternative, adding Android Auto with Mirror Link and AirPlay screen mirroring, and a bar-mounted HogPlay Media Screen rounds out the options for riders who want an extra display rather than a full radio swap.
