Android Auto, CarPlay & Streaming Apps for 2017 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide

| Factory code | FLTRXSE |
|---|---|
| Engine | Milwaukee-Eight 114 |
| Factory radio | Boom! Box 6.5 GT |
| Factory CarPlay / Android Auto | None from factory — add via an aftermarket radio or a GTS swap |
| Factory USB | USB-A (media / charge only) |
The 2017 CVO Road Glide moved to Harley's new Milwaukee-Eight engine while keeping the shark-nose fairing and its Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen. That radio never got Apple CarPlay or Android Auto from the factory. HogPlay adds both wirelessly through an aftermarket CarPlay radio or a 2019-2023 GTS swap with a bypass adaptor.
No Factory CarPlay — GTS Swap or Aftermarket
The 2017 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide ran the factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! Box GTS and add a HogPlay GTS Bypass for wireless CarPlay, or fit an aftermarket CarPlay radio (SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio, Aquatic AV). Either way a HogPlay Media Box adds Netflix, YouTube and streaming and a Piglet adds Mirror Link and AirPlay. No headset bypass required.
We also stock universal parts that fit the 2017 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

2017 brought the Milwaukee-Eight engine to Harley's touring lineup, and the CVO Road Glide wore that update under the same shark-nose fairing and CVO-grade paint and trim. The Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen stuck around unchanged from prior years, meaning wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto still aren't part of the factory package.
Riders bolt in an aftermarket CarPlay radio from a brand like Diamond Audio or Aquatic AV to solve that, since most of those units carry both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto onboard from the start. Prefer a Harley-branded screen? Swap in a 2019-2023 GTS radio and add a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor to unlock its factory CarPlay and USB port (Android Auto isn't part of that unlock on its own).
A HogPlay Media Box then adds Android Auto plus Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music, and podcasts pulled from an SD card or USB drive rather than phone data. Want mirroring instead? A USB Piglet adds Android Auto along with AirPlay/Mirror Link, and a bar-mounted Media Screen works well if you're leaving the stock radio in place. No headset bypass applies on the aftermarket route — that's a factory-radio topic only.
HogPlay Media Boxes work on Diamond Audio, Boss Audio, Rockford Fosgate, SoundStream and Aquatic AV aftermarket radios to unlock apps, streaming and more — it's not just for factory screens. Running an aftermarket head unit? See the matching aftermarket radio pages.
