The 2017 CVO Limited closes out this generation of Harley's top touring trim, running the same Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen that shipped without Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. HogPlay adds both wirelessly - either through an aftermarket CarPlay-ready radio or by swapping in a 2019-2023 GTS unit with a HogPlay bypass adaptor.
No Factory CarPlay — GTS Swap or Aftermarket
The 2017 Harley-Davidson CVO Limited ran the factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! Box GTS and add a HogPlay GTS Bypass for wireless CarPlay, or fit an aftermarket CarPlay radio (SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio, Aquatic AV). Either way a HogPlay Media Box adds Netflix, YouTube and streaming and a Piglet adds Mirror Link and AirPlay. No headset bypass required.
We also stock universal parts that fit the 2017 Harley-Davidson CVO Limited and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

The 2017 CVO Limited wraps up this run of Harley's top touring trim, still built around the factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen. It's a solid, familiar radio, but like every Boom! Box 6.5 GT before it, there's no Apple CarPlay and no Android Auto inside it, so a rider's phone can't push navigation, calls, or streaming to that screen on its own.
Owners have two main ways to fix that. Swap in an aftermarket CarPlay touchscreen from a brand like Rockford Fosgate or Diamond Audio - most include both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto out of the box, with no headset bypass needed on this path. Or move up to a 2019-2023 GTS head unit and add a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor, which activates the GTS's own factory CarPlay and USB port (Android Auto is a separate add-on either way).
HogPlay rounds out either path. A Media Box adds Android Auto along with Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music, and podcast streaming from an SD card or USB drive, no phone data needed. A USB Piglet adds Android Auto plus Mirror Link or AirPlay mirroring in a smaller package, and a bar-mounted Media Screen is there for bikes without a screen - though most 2017 CVO Limited riders with a head unit already in the fairing choose the radio upgrade first.
HogPlay Media Boxes work on Diamond Audio, Boss Audio, Rockford Fosgate, SoundStream and Aquatic AV aftermarket radios to unlock apps, streaming and more — it's not just for factory screens. Running an aftermarket head unit? See the matching aftermarket radio pages.
