Riders generally take one of two routes. Swap in an aftermarket CarPlay receiver from a brand like Boss or Diamond Audio and you typically get wireless CarPlay and Android Auto in a single unit. Or keep the Harley-branded dash intact by upgrading to a 2019-2023 GTS head unit and adding a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor to unlock its factory CarPlay and USB port; Android Auto still needs a separate add-on in that case.
Pair either setup with a HogPlay Media Box for Android Auto plus Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music, and podcast streaming off a USB drive or SD card — no phone data required. A HogPlay USB Piglet is the lighter-touch option, adding Android Auto with Mirror Link or AirPlay mirroring, and a bar-mounted Media Screen works well if you'd rather not touch the factory head unit at all. The aftermarket-radio path needs no headset bypass — that's a factory-radio-only workaround.
