By 2015 the CVO Road Glide Ultra had settled into its role as Harley's loaded long-haul cruiser, wrapping the frame-mounted fairing around a Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen that handled navigation and audio duties without any help from your phone. That also meant no Apple CarPlay and no Android Auto — the 6.5 GT simply wasn't built for it. No Factory CarPlay — GTS Swap or Aftermarket
The 2015 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide Ultra ran the factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! Box GTS and add a HogPlay GTS Bypass for wireless CarPlay, or fit an aftermarket CarPlay radio (SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio, Aquatic AV). Either way a HogPlay Media Box adds Netflix, YouTube and streaming and a Piglet adds Mirror Link and AirPlay. No headset bypass required.

The 2015 CVO Road Glide Ultra carried Harley's CVO trim into another model year: two-tone paint, upgraded stereo, and a Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen that was solid for navigation and Bluetooth audio. What it couldn't do was run Apple CarPlay or Android Auto — those simply weren't on the table for this factory unit, touchscreen or not.
One route is an aftermarket CarPlay radio sized for the touring fairing — SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio, and Aquatic AV all build units that fit and typically include both CarPlay and Android Auto out of the box. The other route is a head unit swap: drop in a 2019-2023 GTS and add a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor to unlock its factory CarPlay and USB port.
From there, HogPlay rounds out the setup. A Media Box brings Android Auto along with Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music, and podcast streaming, pulling from an SD card or USB drive instead of your phone's data plan. A USB Piglet is the pick if you want Android Auto plus Mirror Link or AirPlay screen mirroring, and a bar-mounted Media Screen is available for bikes that want a dedicated display. Going the aftermarket-radio route means no headset bypass is needed at all.
