The 2014 Street Glide Special paired Harley's shark-nose fairing with the then-new Boom! Box 6.5 GT - a genuine step up in factory infotainment, with a bigger touchscreen and better voice command than anything the brand had offered before. It still has no Apple CarPlay and no Android Auto built in, though. HogPlay adds both wirelessly, either through a modern aftermarket CarPlay radio or by stepping up to a later GTS head unit.

The 2014 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special ran the factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! The straightforward route is swapping in an aftermarket CarPlay radio built for the touring fairing - options from SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio and Aquatic AV typically bring both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto onboard, no headset bypass required. Prefer to keep a later factory look? Riders sometimes move up to a 2019-2023 GTS head unit and add a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor to unlock its built-in CarPlay and USB port.
