The 2014 CVO Limited is Harley's most decked-out touring flagship for the year, built to eat highway miles in comfort with the works already bolted on. Its Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen was impressive when new, but it has no Apple CarPlay and no Android Auto built in. HogPlay adds both wirelessly, whether through an aftermarket CarPlay radio or a later-model GTS swap with a HogPlay bypass adaptor.

No Factory CarPlay — GTS Swap or Aftermarket

The 2014 Harley-Davidson CVO Limited ran the factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT — no factory CarPlay or Android Auto. Two ways to add it: swap to a 2019–2023 Boom! Box GTS and add a HogPlay GTS Bypass for wireless CarPlay, or fit an aftermarket CarPlay radio (SoundStream, Rockford Fosgate, Boss, Diamond Audio, Aquatic AV). Either way a HogPlay Media Box adds Netflix, YouTube and streaming and a Piglet adds Mirror Link and AirPlay. No headset bypass required.

We also stock universal parts that fit the 2014 Harley-Davidson CVO Limited and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 2014 Harley-Davidson CVO Limited

The 2014 CVO Limited is Harley's top-shelf faired tourer for the year, a fully dressed Screamin' Eagle platform with the loudest stereo, richest paint, and most chrome the touring lineup offered that season. The factory Boom! Box 6.5 GT touchscreen was a genuine step up from older Harley radios, but it still has no Apple CarPlay and no Android Auto, so phone navigation, hands-free texting, and streaming apps stay locked out of that screen no matter how strong the amp sounds.

Riders chasing real wireless CarPlay and Android Auto on a 2014 CVO Limited usually pick one of two roads. The first drops in an aftermarket touchscreen built for CarPlay from names like SoundStream or Rockford Fosgate - most of these radios include both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto onboard, and no headset bypass is needed on this path. The second swaps the factory Boom! Box for a 2019-2023 GTS head unit and adds a HogPlay CarPlay bypass adaptor, which unlocks the GTS's own factory CarPlay and USB port (it doesn't add Android Auto by itself).

Either way, HogPlay fills in the rest. A Media Box adds Android Auto plus Netflix, YouTube, YouTube Music, and podcast streaming straight off an SD card or USB drive, no phone data burned. A USB Piglet adds Android Auto alongside Mirror Link or AirPlay screen mirroring for a leaner setup. And when the factory display just isn't enough, a bar-mounted Media Screen is worth a look - though most 2014 CVO Limited riders find upgrading the radio itself the simpler call once a head unit's already in the fairing.

HogPlay Media Boxes work on Diamond Audio, Boss Audio, Rockford Fosgate, SoundStream and Aquatic AV aftermarket radios to unlock apps, streaming and more — it's not just for factory screens. Running an aftermarket head unit? See the matching aftermarket radio pages.
