About 1996 Harley-Davidson Softail & Cruiser Models

Softail, Dyna-style Custom, and Sportster models in 1996 were built for a stripped, classic silhouette with nothing mounted between the handlebars — no fairing, no gauge cluster housing big enough for a radio, and no factory wiring for audio anywhere in the seventeen-model range, from the compact 883 Hugger to the full-size Heritage Classic and Super Glide Convertible parked right next to it.

HogPlay's answer for every one of these bikes is the same: a bar-mounted Media Screen that clamps to the handlebar and brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to a bike that never had audio at all. The mount and screen size are identical whether you're fitting a Low Rider or a Springer Softail — see the Heritage Classic page for a sizing example.
