The 1996 Dyna Wide Glide leaned into a stretched-out, chopper-inspired stance with a raked front end and the same Evolution 1340 as the rest of the Dyna line — and the same total absence of a factory screen.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen
The 1996 Harley-Davidson Wide Glide left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. The Wide Glide's pulled-back handlebar leaves room for the HogPlay 7-inch Media Screen to mount cleanly without crowding the raked front end.
Power and ground wiring runs behind the headlight, and the mount is fully reversible, keeping the bike's custom look untouched underneath.
The 1996 Wide Glide gets real connectivity with the HogPlay Media Screen. Dual Bluetooth pairs your phone for wireless CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel and an aux amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker on the other. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn prompts alone. The housing is fully sealed, waterproof, and rugged, suited to a bike built for long, stretched-out miles.
