The 2022 Chief Bobber is the stripped, mini-ape-bar bobber in Indian's relaunched Chief line on the Thunder Stroke 111. In base form it runs the classic round analog gauge — not the 4-inch Ride Command of the Dark Horse trims — so there's no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto from the factory. HogPlay's 7-inch CarPlay & Android Auto Media Screen adds both wirelessly, with built-in speakers, off a universal USB feed.
No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen
The 2022 Indian Chief Bobber left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

Indian reserved the round 4-inch Ride Command touchscreen for the Chief's Dark Horse and Limited trims; the base Chief Bobber keeps an analog speedometer with no phone mirroring at all. HogPlay's 7-inch Media Screen adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on its own speakers, via a universal USB mount, fully reversible.
