By 2022 the Boom! Box GTS had been Harley's touring radio for three model years running, with CarPlay still gated behind a Bluetooth headset pairing that has to be set up before it works at all. Indian's Ride Command, meanwhile, kept its wired-only CarPlay limitation across Chieftain, Roadmaster, and Springfield, with Android phone owners left out entirely since Android Auto was never supported.

A 2022 Harley-Davidson drops the headset requirement with a bypass adaptor and USB Piglet, while a 2022 Indian gains wireless CarPlay and Android Auto via a Ride Command bypass. Both bypass kits are a direct plug fit behind the dash, with no splicing into the stock harness on either brand of touring bike, Harley or Indian alike, in the garage.
