Ride Command is the common thread across Indian's bagger and touring families — the Challenger, Chieftain, Roadmaster, Pursuit, and Springfield all ship it — and it already runs Apple CarPlay natively over a wired USB connection, but Android Auto was never licensed for the platform. A CarPlay bypass adaptor is what unlocks Android Auto on that same factory screen.

Chief and Scout riders don't have a Ride Command screen to bypass in the first place, so their fix is a bolt-on Media Screen that adds CarPlay and Android Auto from scratch rather than unlocking something that's already there.
