2003 Electra Glide CarPlay: Seven Trims Covered

Seven 2003 Electra Glide configurations are covered here — the widest trim spread of any year in this batch — including a new Electra Glide Classic with Sidecar (FLHTC) alongside the familiar Classic Shrine and Standard trims. Every one of the seven still runs a legacy AM/FM tuner with zero CarPlay support.

About 2003 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Models

2003 pushed the Electra Glide lineup to seven configurations with the addition of a carbureted FLHTC sidecar option alongside the fuel-injected FLHTCI already in the range — more choice on the drivetrain side, none on the audio side. Every trim from Standard through Classic Shrine, and every sidecar variant among them, ran the same legacy AM/FM tuner Harley had used across this platform for years. Anniversary-year trim additions changed paint codes and passenger comfort, not the dash.

An aftermarket CarPlay radio fits all seven 2003 configurations the same way, replacing that legacy deck with real wireless CarPlay and Android Auto behind the stock fairing face. Owners keeping an anniversary-trim dash original can add a Media Screen to the bars instead, whether that's on the base Electra Glide or the Electra Glide Classic with Sidecar (FLHTC), with the anniversary dash left completely stock.
